M3 - MetalMeccanicaModerna S.r.l. is an Italian manufacturing company, founded more than 40 years ago, with a vast experience in the production of attachments for earthmoving machinery. The success and the position reached by M3 are strongly connected to their high-quality products and to their team’s continuous efforts in the research and in the development along with technological innovation.
M3 - MetalMeccanicaModerna S.r.l. has invented and patented, back in the 1974, the first concrete mixing bucket in the world. Our company has developed through the years a complete range of attachments for skid-loaders, excavators, telehandlers and wheel loaders, for any application in the building & construction field, as well as in the earthmoving and road maintenance works.
M3 offers a wide range of hedge cutters for trimming works, green care, hedge cutting and gardening. The hedge trimmers M3 are suitable for mini excavators, excavators up to 20 T and backhoe loaders. They are equipped with swivel joint to work both vertically and horizontally. The drain is not required.
The MC series proposes hedge cutters for mini excavators up to 5 T, suitable for the trimming of hedges up to 3 cm.
The MBT series offers a wide choice of hedge trimmers for purposes even professional, as these blades can cut shrubs and branches up to 15 cm. The special blade milling, and the inclination of the coupling tube make the branch entrance easier and ensure a clean and precise cut, reducing working times. Thanks to its inclination, the tube is fully protected under the protection casing. Moreover, the connection between the coupling tube and the blades is a thick sheet metal protected by the casing.
The snow blade
M3 is the perfect solution for the snow clearance to quickly restore traffic
flows or to move the snow by storing it on the roadside. Available in
different models according to the working width (in a range between 1300 and
2300 mm), it is easily mounted on skid steer loaders and wheel loaders up to 80
HP. It is supplied with shockproof valve, marker lights, 30° hydraulic
inclination 30°, 7° oscillation, hydraulic hoses and coupling to the
machine.
The snow blade
M3 is equipped with a shockproof system with spring return to the blade
sectors, ensuring a quicker and simpler use. It is indeed possible to easily
work even on rough terrains, thanks to the springs which avoid the complete
disconnection of the mouldboard. The springs are horizontally (and not
vertically) placed on the three sectors the blade is divided into. In case of
any obstacle, it’s the specific sector that tips over, and not the complete
blade.
Its structure
looks like a tilt dozer blade, with the blade height greater than competitors’,
ensuring a better strength and durability. The blade is bolted, and it is in
steel HB450. Possibility to mount a polyurethane blade, suitable for
pavements and old towns (i.e., cobblestone), avoiding ruining the road
surface.
The blade
inclination, through hydraulic cylinders, is such as to help the material to
fall forward and therefore to quicker remove it. Upon request is available a mouldboard
extension.

EFFICIENT The auger drive units M3 are equipped with a planetary gearbox (with 5 gear sets) allows to multiply torque, with limited weight and overall dimensions. The hydraulic motor Eaton is integrated into the input housing, allowing direct connection to the gearset. This kind of gearbox reduces speed and increases torque, facilitating the drilling even in harsh ground conditions.
COMPACT The current design of the moto-reduction gear reduces the dimensions and the overall weight, with less potential oil leaks and connections points. The maintenance is minimal. Compact design is particularly suitable for mini excavators, and it allows for greater length under the drive for augers or extensions. The drive unit can completely enter the hole. Hoses and hitches, protected by the housing, are located with an ideal angle for the drilling.
COST-EFFECTIVE Drain is not required. The auger is supplied with: hydraulic hoses, quick hitches and a pressure relief valve. 3-year motor warranty – 5-year gearbox warranty
AUGER BITS Wide range of auger bits, from 100 mm to 1000 mm (for bigger models), suitable for any type of ground. Possibility to add extensions. The augers are produced with a HD tube in highest quality steel. The shallow pitch flights facilitate an excellent removal of spoil. The particular design “true cut” ensures an auger with diameter 200 mm to really drill a 200 mm hole. Upon request, bits for wood: wood splitter and stump grinder.
MOUNTING HITCHES The auger drive unit can be supplied with single pin hitch for direct connection to the excavator boom, a plate for double-pin hitch or quick hitch, or a frame for skid loaders. Upon request a safety cradle hitch can be supplied.
The Fork
Carriage M3 can be attached to any type of skid steer loader, backhoe and
wheel-loader, telehandler or excavator Available in various lifting capacities
ranging from 1.000 KG up to 12.000 KG with both forks. Upon request available
also with lifting capacity up to 30.000 kg. Upon request, it is available the
version with side shifter to facilitate the positioning of the palletized
material.
The models of
pallets fork for skid steer loader (PPF SXX) are equipped with protection grid.
The industrial
grapple bucket M3 is ideal both for the collection of waste, and construction
or industrial scrap, and for the handling in paper mills. Suitable for skid
loaders up to 70 HP, it ensures a better material handling at a higher speed if
compared to the common grapple for excavators.
It is equipped with no. 2 upper hydraulic clamps, block valve and coupling to
the machine.
Upon request,
it is possible to add the side walls to avoid the material loss.
The cylinders, simultaneously operated, are
protected by a casing. Our industrial buckets are very strong, thanks to the
presence of a tubing, which avoids any kind of torsions when the clamps are
opening, and of wear strips under the blade.
The new adaptor plate M3 can be attached to any equipment with skid steer loader coupling even on other operating machines.
In a quick and easy way, any equipment can be moved from the skid loader to an excavator rather than to a telehandler or any other machinery. The best solution for a fast exchange making your job easier. It is equipped with welded coupling for wheel loaders / backhoe loaders/ telehandlers or with bolted counter plate, where the excavator hooks can be welded on.
The Quick-Hitch M3 without modification of the original bucket avoids any intervention in the workshop, significantly increasing the productivity of the machine. It can be fitted to any backhoe loaders. According to the machine, it is supplied with a couple of adapters to be bolted on the original bucket. The Quick-Hitch M3 with modification of the original bucket does neither change the center of gravity of the machine nor alter the load capacity and the breakout force. It is particularly appreciated in tough working conditions, where the best performance is required by the machine. Upon request, it can be supplied with modification of the original bucket in compliance with ISO23727 standard measures.
The standard
bucket M3 is the perfect solution for earthwork or works of charge and
excavation.
Our digging
bucket shows a very strong structure, and it is easily attached to all types of
skid steer loaders. It is equipped with drilled blade configurated for the
installation of teeth, steel bottom reinforcements and coupling to SSL. It can
be used with or without teeth. A bolted reversible under-blade can be supplied
upon request.
The trencher
M3 is a compact yet powerful equipment, able to achieve narrow trenches to
greater depths.It is particularly suitable
for pipe laying for irrigation, underground power & communications, road
repairs and general construction.
The various size trench widths allow you not to excavate any more than is
required, while the bottom of the trench stays flat and clean.
The trencher
M3 is fitted with a quality planetary drive, Eaton hydraulic motor, 3
position-adjustable skid foot and single spoil removal auger for the spoil
removal.
Our unique
design also gives the operator consistent digging depth for efficient spoil
removal and finely crumbled spoil for effective compaction back into the
trench. This provides minimal ground disturbance to surrounding conditions and
results in a cleaner finish.
The snow blower M3 is the perfect equipment for snow. It is produced in different models to fit machines with different widths and it can be attached to all types of skid steer loaders and backhoe loaders up to 80/100 HP. Thanks to its turbine which can blow the snow at a max distance of 15 m, the snow blower can be used for cleaning walkways, driveways, sidewalks or in town centers where only a skid loader can effectively work. It is supplied with electric rotation deflector, 370 mm flight and coupling to the machine.
The dozer / tilt dozer blade and the
levelling blade are suitable for earthworks, movement of materials, back-filing
and levelling.
The dozer/tilt dozer blades are equipped
with an interchangeable anti-wear pad under the blade. This one is reversible
and in Hardox 450 HBW. There is the chance to mount a PPN blade more suitable
for the industrial paving. The anti-shock block valve is supplied as standard.
The levelling blade has a higher blade for
a better levelling and finishing job after the material has been spread out.
The blade is bolted and reversible.
After patenting the first mixing bucket in the world in 1974, M3 has specialised in the planning and production of mixing buckets. And to this day, M3 holds the patent of the “twin door” model.
Used in the industrial and construction field, the mixer bucket has the advantage of being used even in areas hard-to-reach by concrete mixer trucks. In a fast and cost-effective way, the concrete is produced, transported and discharged on the building site.
M3 mixing buckets are equipped with bottom and flight in Hardox 450 HBW. The transmission is with chain (along with chain tensioner), with resultant low maintenance costs and a lighter structure if compared to a reduction gear.
The models with side discharge ensure complete safety, as the operator has not to stay under the bucket while positioning the discharge pipe.The mixing buckets with side dischargeare equipped with a seal kit with 2 years’ warranty and with anti-wear bolted paddle. The motor is fully protected for a greater durability. The mixing proves to be more homogeneous and requires less power and pressure.
Upon request, it is possible to supply the
mixer bucket with a protection grid with hydraulic opening or manual opening
with gas springs (excepts for twin-door models).

Our range of mulchers for excavators up to 25 T and skid steer loaders consists of a wide choice of models, with different cutting widths and different rotor types (hammers, knives, fixed teeth, rotating hammers). The areas of application of the bush cutters M3 are manifold: from the cleaning of wooded areas to the cleaning of ditches and riverbanks, from the road maintenance to the simple grass mowing, from fire prevention to the shredding of brushwood and small trees.
M3 proposes a variety of innovative accessories to match your bush cutter.
•Self-levelling support: it helps absorbing shocks and vibrations, by keeping the mulcher parallel to the ground
•Feeler roller: suitable for flat land and adjustable in height, it protects the rotor while working near the ground
•Variable displacement piston motor: it allows higher performances, by increasing the displacement according to the workload
M3 offers a wide choice of solutions for
cleaning works in the industrial, construction, agricultural and nursery field.
Our sweeper buckets can be mounted on every kind of earthmoving machinery: from
skid loaders to excavators, from backhoe loaders to telehandlers, from wheel
loaders to forklifts.
The vast range of M3 sweepers allows you to
choose the most suitable model both for the deep cleaning of yards, building
sites, courtyards, industrial and port areas; and for the cleaning of ditches,
roadsides and hard-to-reach places. Materials range from milled asphalt to dust
and earth, to gravel and debris. Some of the models, like the angle sweeper
bucket, can be used even as snow blade in case of light snow falls.
Our sweepers for skid loaders, for forklifts and the angled ones are
equipped with brush rollers which, if compared to the common rings, are easier
and faster to be replaced and, thanks to their thickness, they ensure a better
cleaning quality. The roller is usually in polypropylene, but, upon request, it
is possible to mount rings mixed PPN/steel.
Moreover, it is possible to equip the
sweeper bucket with a sprinkler kit (gravity or pressure) and/or side brush in
PPN.
The experience acquired over the years on the use of sweeper buckets has allowed us to make some improvements. The steel wear-resistant reinforcements in the most stressed points of the collection bucket, the bolted and reversible blade in 450 HBW make the use of the HD sweeper buckets suitable for both burdensome construction sites and in normal road maintenance. The motor with direct transmission reduces the maintenance and significantly reduces the time required for the roller replacement. It is supplied with collection bucket with reinforcements in Hardox 450 HBW, brush shaft Ø 550 mm (Ø 600 mm for BS240HD) in PPN, bolted reversible blade, hydraulic hoses with quick hitches and coupling for skid loader. Equipped with coupling for backhoe loaders, wheel loaders or telehandlers only for model BS240D.
The grader
“dual” M3 is an equipment with double function: it works both as a grader blade
and as a tilt dozer blade, with the wheels raised. With a blade width of 2200
mm, it can reach 2700 mm thanks to the extensions bolted on supplied as
standard. Its structure highly compact allows you an excellent visibility from
the cab and accessibility to the skid loader.
The floating
front wheels ensure a high adaptability to the ground.
The blade is
bolted and in steel Hardox 450 HBW. If compared to competitors, it proves to be
higher and thicker, facilitating a greater moving of the material. The blade
has countless angling possibilities.
The Grader Blade M3 can be fitted to small skid steer loaders with power ranging from 50 to 120 HP. It is ideal for the preparation and the leveling of lands, roads and yards. It is equipped with the tilt system 32°, oscillation 40° and shift 450 mm of the blade with hydraulic functioning through a control panel, manual flow regulator on the distributor on / off, ST52 steel structure, coupling to the machine, hydraulic hoses and electric control kit.
